Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in a unique way as ‘Joy of Giving’ at The Millennium School, HMEL today. Some children from Children Home, Bathinda, an orphanage, were invited to the school and the students distributed clothes, stationery, toys and eatables to them. After receiving these items, a heavenly smile appeared on their innocent faces. The objective behind this activity was to spread love, joy and happiness among those who are less privileged than us and for each one of us to experience the joy of giving. The principal, Dr Sunil Kumar and facilitators of the school paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The head of the school addressed the children on this occasion and told the students about the importance of giving and sacrificing for others.
