“Leaders are not born in a day; It takes skill and experience for a leader to develop his abilities.” Felicitating the young leaders of The Millennium School, Amritsar, The Investiture Ceremony for the session 2018-19 was held on May 25th, 2018. It was a much awaited moment for all the office bearers and their parents, as the students were to take their official positions. The ceremony began with the customary lighting of the lamp by the Respected Principal Sir Mr. Ayan Pal, Vice Principal Ma’am, Ms. Shailija Tandon, Activity Coordinator, Ms. Nandini Malhotra and the Guests of Honour. It was followed by a prayer to the Divine. The students of the school presented an energetic dance performance to the tunes of “Deva Shree Ganesha” to give a beatific start to the event. Also, the school choir enchanted the audience with a melodiously sung ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ that created a mood of enlightenment and inspiration. Further, The Investiture Ceremony was administered by calling all the office bearers on stage. The oath for the Head boy/Head Girl(Senior, Deputy as well as middle school) was administered by the Vice Principal, Ms. Shailija Tandon. The oath for the cultural and sports captains of the school was administered by, the Head boy, Vaikunth Mehra. The oath for the House captains was administered by the Head Girl, Kirat Kaur. The Principal, Mr. Ayan Pal gave an enriching address on leadership essentials, quoting some of the great phenomenas like Ashoka and Martin Luther. Mr. Saurabh Kumar Arora, The Joint Commissioner MCA, graced the event as the Chief Guest. He congratulated all the office bearers and also inspired the children to follow their heart and passion. The day closed with the vote of thanks given by Ms. Shailija Tandon. She expressed her gratitude for all the parents who took out time for this special day. She also presented the vote of thanks to the parents of the Head boy and Head girl who were present as the guests of honor for the day. The staff members, academic coordinators and all the other members of the school were also present for the occasion..
