Come August and the Indian heart begins to beat for the nation. This year The Millennium School family prepared a unique labor of love that embraced the past and the future to celebrate India’s march to independence and the all- encompassing journey ahead. At the crack of dawn the school campus was abuzz as the Millennium troop assembled to beckon the resident community to join their lesson for life. The troop covered the surrounding area on foot singing songs of love for the nation and soon the strain turned into a melody as the Rotary Club members, the RWA members and the local community joined in solidarity with equal fervor. The assembled gathering was treated to glimpses from India‘s road to independence with a series of tableaux that captured the mind, to bring home that freedom is never free. The day’s lesson was completed when the young minds who hold the future of humanity in their hands urged the audience to go beyond freedom with their thoughts about climate change, the role of artificial intelligence and world peace. Inspired thus by the Millennium muse the community event ended with wall art. With ‘March to Independence’ The Millennium children took a step to lead, inspire and innovate.
The parents and community appreciated the progressive vision of the Principal Ms. Vineeta Mittal for conceptualizing and executing this wonderful idea.
