The Republic Day has a great importance in every Indian's life. This day reminds us the power and vitality of democracy in our life.The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the 69th Republic Day with great patriotism and zeal. All the teachers and the students marked their presence on this auspicious occasion. First of all Principal Dr. A. K. Singh unfurled the National Flag which was followed by the singing of the melodious National Anthem. Then, there was the chanting of Udghosh ‘Desh Ke Bachche’ as a pledge to protect the nation as our foremost duty and responsibility. The students sang a group songs ‘Hum Sub Bharat Vasi Hain’ with extreme patriotism. They recited the patriotic poems with zestful expressions. Speeches were also delivered on the vitality of this red letter day. In the end, students were addressed by the Principal. He exhorted to respect the given rights and fulfil the abiding responsibilities diligently as both of these go hand in hand. In the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed among the students.
