ADVENTURE-CUM-LEISURE TRIP FOR STUDENTS

‘Life is meant for good friends and great adventures’. A group of 50 students and 6 teachers of  The Millennium School, Kurukshetra went to an Adventure-cum-Leisure trip to Chail, Himachal Pradesh which proved  to be an invigorating experience for the students.  The group departed at 9 pm on 29 May  and reached Chail  next morning, on 30 May. All the students not merely enjoyed the trip with gusto but also learnt the life skills i.e. social and emotional consolidation through plethora of adventurous activities. Learners enjoyed various adventurous activities like trekking, crossing the burma bridge, rappelling, high rope course, rock-climbing, flying fox, etc. They also learnt knots making, shelter making and food (Maggie) making which was extremely a new fun-fair to them. A first-aid training was also provided to them which they learnt heartily.  All the participants were given away  appreciation certificates, while special medals and certificates were awarded to the winners of various adventurous activities. The enthusiasts stayed  there in the special camps where they relished the sumptuous food and had fun games, music and dance  around bonfire at night. It was really a bounce back activity  for each of the participants.
