DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION

The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated Dussehra in the school campus with great zeal and devotion. First of all, a special assembly was organized in the morning to explain the sanctity of the occasion though poem recitation, delivery of speech, recitation of poem and singing the song. In the afternoon, all the students assembled in the playground where the effigy of Ravanawas set up pompously. The students of classes XI and XII made this effigy in the school campus themselves. The School Captains  Nirbhay Chauhan and Sirjan Kaur set fire to the effigy. Besides this, the tiny students of The Little Millennium also presented the Jhaanki (tableau) of Ram Leela from the great epic Ramayana. They were dressed up as Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, etc. and  filled the festivity with great joy and enthusiasm. Principal Dr. A.K. Singh urged the students to always pursue the path of righteousness and Dharma in life. He stated that in order to have an evil free society, one should always learn robustness of character from Lord Rama, Sita, Goddess Durga, etc. who are remembered and worshipped even today also because of their pious and exemplary deeds.
