Educational Trip to Rajasthan

“Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience.”

Students of classes VII to XII of The Millennium School, Kurukshetra visited Jaipur and Ranthambore at Rajasthan for an educational trip from 20 October to 23 October. It was a trip full of knowledge and amusement in which students came across the various interesting facts and historical information about Rajasthan.

First two days were spent in Jaipur. During their stay in the Pink City students were taken to the Amber Fort constructed by Raja Man Singh where he used to stay luxuriously with his family and subjects. The Deewan-E-Aam and the Deewan-E-Khaas, specimens of alluring architecture, were the crucial sites worthy to be seen. Students also visited the Jantar-Mantar and made sundials based on the scientific concept of astronomy used behind this monument. In the evening they also visited Chokhi Dhani where they came to know about the history and culture of Rajasthan, and relished the sumptuous traditional Rajasthani food delightfully.

The next day, they reached Ranthambore where they stayed in the luxurious resorts and visited the Ranthambore Fort and also enjoyed the adventurous jungle safari in Ranthambore National Park and keenly observed the behaviour of the wild animals.

Besides this, they performed the recreational activities like skit on Save Tiger, dance, blog writing, puppet show, etc. All the learners learnt various life-skills like independence, cooperation, bearing responsibility, performing their duties with punctuality, tolerance and many more in various ways. In addition to this, they were awarded badges, commendation and participation certificates in different categories. Hence, they all had a wonderful quality time and an exquisite experience together with their friends as well as teachers.
