INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY

It is said that where tigers thrive, it is a sign that the ecosystem is healthy.  International Tiger Day is celebrated on 29 July annually to promote the protection of natural habitat of tigers and to increase awareness about the conservation of tiger. International Tiger Day is also known as Global Tiger Day.On the occasion of Global Tiger Day 2019, The Millennium School  Kurukshetra, organised numerous activities to raise awareness and knowledge about tiger conservation. The learners participated in a skit based on the estranged relationship between man and tiger, and how man is to be blamed for the national animal’s declining numbers. A discussion on the importance of environmental welfare and tiger conservation was also a part of the programme , that was followed by article writing, mask making, and collage making activities. The primary learners  participated in a variety of events with the aim of raising awareness in regard to the plight of India’s national animal, which as they pointed out, would benefit the human race as well. The day’s events concluded with an exceptionally relevant power point presentation, depicting the tiger’s role in maintaining the natural balance of India’s ecosystems.
