Rakshabandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. The girls of class I celebrated the occasion by making eye catching rakhis and tied them to the peons, drivers and conductors. The learners of class IV conducted the assembly followed by a thought, shalok, poem, song and a beautiful dance. The Millennium school believes that celebration of festivals in schools is necessary. School Principal Dr. AK Singh said, “Due to nuclear families, children today are deprived of true spirit of such festivals, such celebrations in schools teach students about our traditions”. An inter-class rakhi-making competition was held for classes I to V. All the learners participated with great zeal and zest in the creative competition of Rakhi making.  The competition saw a number of creative and colourful rakhis being made by the learners. The rakhis that were made were an enviable lot and a fusion of modern with traditional styles was seen.
