STUDENTS OF THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL, KURUKSHETRA COMPREHEND THE PROMINENCE OF DUSSEHRA

The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated Dussehra in the school campus with great zeal and devotion. First of all, a special assembly was organized in the morning to explain the sanctity of the occasion though poem recitation, delivery of speech, recitation of poem and singing the song. In the afternoon, all the students assembled in the playground where the effigies of Ravana, his brother Kubhakarna and sons Meghanada and Akshya Kumar were set up pompously. The students of all the four houses Agni, Jal, Prithvi, Vaayu had  prepared all the effigies  in the Inter-house Effigy Making Competition. Principal Dr. A.K. Singh declared the positions of all the houses as per their creativity. Then each house with its team and mentor set fire to the effigies one by one. Besides this, the tiny students of The Little Millennium presented the Jhaanki (tableau) of Ram Leela from the great epic Ramayana. They were dressed up as Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, etc. and  filled the festivity with great joy and enthusiasm. Principal Dr. A.K. Singh urged the students to always pursue the path of righteousness and Dharma in life. He stated that in order to have an evil free society, one should always learn robustness of character from Lord Rama, Sita, Goddess Durga, etc. who are remembered and worshipped even today also because of their pious and exemplary deeds. The event ended with the distribution of Prasad among the learners.
