TMS, KKR CELEBRATES 73rd INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH FERVOUR

The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with great patriotism and zeal. All the teachers and the students marked their presence on this auspicious occasion in the school campus. First of all, the radiant girls of class XI hoisted the tricolour flag in order to strengthen the expedition of school towards ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’.  All in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of freedom with utmost dedication. Then, there was Udghosh - A Pledge to respect as well as protect the Nation which gives us everything including the free atmosphere we live in. The students of class IV sang a patriotic group song ‘Aazadi Ki Khuli Hawa’ with extreme expression and exhilaration.  Srishti of class VII recited the immortal poem ‘Where the Mind is without Fear’ melodiously and prayed to God, the Almighty for a true freedom for the country and the countrymen. Tejaswin of class VIII articulated her sentiments and aspirations for the motherland through a speech. A vibrant dance in the  praise of India and its diversity was also displayed by Prisha Bansal of class VII. On the other hand, the patriotic medley presented by the students also filled everyone with great enthusiasm.Principal Dr. A. K. Singh in his speech told about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs did for the sake of our freedom. He urged the students to take the pledge towards a preserved and strengthened India to commemorate its sovereignty. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity. In the end of the ceremony, sweets were distributed among the students.
