The Millennium School, Kurukshetra organised  an essay writing competition for the students of classes VII to X on the topic 'Oil Conservation towards Healthy and Better Environment / तेल संरक्षण से बेहतर जीवन व पर्यावरण'.Petroleum Conservation Research  Association (PCRA) has held 'Saksham'  competition in the collaboration with CBSE  to create awareness  among the students for the better environment by utilizing the non-renewable resources like petrol, diesel, etc. very judiciously. The students penned down their  creative thoughts on paper to conserve the surroundings. The best essays  will be sent to the PCRA and the winners shall receive attractive gifts  viz. a trip  to Japan, laptops and cash prizes  and will also be felicitated in Delhi. The students of the school have already taken an initiative towards conserving the environment. They plant  a sapling on their birthday in school and take care of it very well regularly. Principal Dr.  A. K. Singh appreciated the students for their innovative thoughts to conserve the environment. He said that today's children are the best protectors of the earth of tomorrow as they are very sensitive and concerned towards it as responsible citizens.
