TMS STUDENTS EXPLORE SURROUNDINGS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL TRIPS

The students of classes VIII and IX visited village Bachki near Kurukshetra to see various agricultural implements and bio-gas plant. The students were shown tiller, tractor, land-leveller, potato and wheat-seeder, potato harvester, etc. They were explained the specific techniques related to the crop cultivation and harvesting. The farmers Mr. Maalak Singh and Mr. Prakash Singh showed their farm including cattle and barn to the learners to familiarize them with farming.  They also saw the process of generating bio-gas and its advantages in modern context. All the students satisfied their queries regarding husbandry and were served butter-milk, too, in the end. Their visit to the village added a lot to their knowledge and life experiences.In another educational trip, the learners of class VII visited Sheikh Chehli’s Tomb and Dharohar at Kurukshetra. The learners carefully studied the ancient objects exhibited in the museums.  They came to know about Sheikh Chehli as a historic personality. The students also viewed the unique Haryanavi culture at Dharohar through paintings, vessels, household articles, instruments, picturesque models, art and craft, attires used by the folk and their living style. They were explained the objective behind establishing Dharohar. This visit to the museum was indeed a phenomenal learning experience for the learners.
