69th INDEPENDENCE DAY AT THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL, LUCKNOW

The students of The Millennium School ensured a vibrant celebration on the 69th Independence Day of India. The day was earmarked by unparalleled enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The day’s activities were divided into two segments: The formal Flag Hoisting ceremony and a presentation of cultural performances by different wings.

The string of events began with the march past followed by fiery speeches by the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school. Ms. Juhi Singh, Chairperson, U.P. Commission for the protection of Child Rights was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She inspired the children with her eloquent words. The Flag hoisting ceremony was solemnized by the Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami and the Chief Guest, Ms. Juhi Singh. Each and every person present at the gathering gave a salute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives so that the present generation could breathe the fresh free air. After the National flag was unfurled, all the teachers who were dressed to the occasion were felicitated by the Chief Guest and the Principal of the school.

An inter-house singing & dance competition also took place where all participants sang to the tunes of inspiring and patriotic melodies. Students exhibited amazing theatrics at a thought provoking Nukkad Natak .A mellifluent choir was also presented by the children of Class VIII. To add to the glint of the occasion, a mesmerizing Dance-Competition was also arranged.

An Intra-class “Generating an Acronym” Competition was held to mark the occasion. Enthusiastic students created various meaningful Acronyms out of the words given to them.

 

 

Dr. Goswami , the Principal of the school, addressed all  students and advised them to be disciplined in their life. She reminded them of their responsibilities towards the nation and asked them to prepare themselves to serve the nation as good leaders.  The programme culminated with the singing of the national Anthem. Sweets were also distributed among all students.
