CHILDREN’S DAY BASH

CHILDREN’S DAY BASH

“Children are like buds of roses in a garden. They should be carefully and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow” – Jawaharlal Nehru.

Chacha Nehru as the children fondly referred to him, was extremely fond of children. He called them as the real strength of the country and the foundation of the society. As a tribute to this great man and his love for children, his birthday is celebrated all over India as Children’s day.

To celebrate this auspicious day and to pay tribute to our reverend Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, The Millennium School, Lucknow organized a special assembly on this occasion.

Taking a break from the usual routine, the teachers decided to conduct the morning assembly by the rendition of the school prayer, school vision & school pledge. It was followed by two mellifluent songs sung by the teachers and dedicated to the lovely and endearing pupils of the school. The icing on the cake was a special song sung by none other than the Principal of the school, Dr. Manjula Goswami who dedicated the song to the student fraternity.

There could be sensed an atmosphere of fun and frolic among the students as all students from Class II to XII went to Janeshwar Mishra Park for picnic whereas the students of Class III went to Planetarium & Class I went to Ganga Fisheries. The students   played several games like football, badminton ,cricket etc.  and explored the huge place. The students  thanked the Principal and their  teachers for such a memorable day.
