International Tiger Day, also known as Global Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for Tiger conservation. It is held annually on 29th July. It was initiated in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit. The goal of the day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitat of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues. 

The Millennium School, Lucknow celebrated this day to raise awareness and sensitize children to the humongous concern about the dwindling tiger population. All the tiny tots of Little Millennium as well as Class 1 were in attendance for a wonderful Declamation competition held among the best selected speakers from each section of Class 1.

Thanks to the grand opportunity provided by the Principal of The Millennium School, Lucknow, Dr. Manjula Goswami, the children presented a brilliant contest. It was a very difficult job for the judges to pick up winners. Three winners from each section made the mark and were awarded certificates to merit their participation and excellence.
