GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION AT THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world” ~Mahatma Gandhi

2nd October is marked as the birth anniversary of the Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi; the apostle of peace who led India to freedom.

The students of The Millennium School, Lucknow organized a Special Assembly to reiterate the relevance of Gandhian principles. The students prepared an inspiring presentation on the life and great deeds of Mahatma Gandhi. Little children dressed as Bapu, presented an enactment on Gandhiji’s three monkeys. Several anecdotes from Mahatma Gandhi’s life were narrated to the students. His favourite bhajan ‘Raghupati raghav….’ was sung by the students to pay a tribute to the great sage. A Collage-competition on the life and works of Gandhiji was also arranged for the students of MLS1.

The Principal of the school, Dr. Goswami perorated the event with her inspiring words. She advised the children to incorporate the pertinent principles of Gandhiji in their lives.
