Guru Purnima is observed on the full Moon Day during the month of June/July. It is the day when one offers obeisance to their mentors or Gurus.
To commemorate this day, The Millennium School, South City, Lucknow conducted a special assembly on 17th July, 2019, which was organized by students of classes VI to VIII .The assembly started with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Principal of the school, Dr Manjula Goswami. Speeches were delivered and shlokas were chanted highlighting the importance of Gurus in our lives. Students were made aware of the fact that everyday could be Guru Purnima if they honoured what life has taught them.
Students also took the opportunity to show their gratitude towards their teachers, who were clad in yellow attires, for their efforts and constant guidance.
The event culminated by distribution of Prasad amongst the staff and students of the school.
