SPORTS DAY AT THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL

SPORTS DAY AT THE MILLENNIUM SCHOOL

The Sports Day of Class 1 was a vibrant display of the talent and confidence of the little prodigies.

As the ritual goes, the event began with the march past. The children showcased one vivacious performance after the other. There was the energetic Hula Hoop aerobics drill followed by the energising Banana Race. The Tricolour Drill enthralled all members in the audience.  The interesting Birthday Cap Race got everyone to cheer for the participants. This was followed by the Sword Drill which saw little girls and boys dressed like Indian soldiers of a bygone era. They took us on a journey through Indian history, the little girls reminding us of the Rani of Jhansi and the little boys of Maharana Pratap Singh. The Balloon Race was the next event and the little children made their parents proud again.

The parents were then, taken on a journey of East Asia when the child magicians presented a Korean drill. This was again followed by an exciting Balance Race which tested the little ones on the twin strengths of speed and balance. Now, it was time to travel further into Korea with the Taekwondo Drill. The programme concluded with the Time honoured Relay Race. All races saw the participation of parents along with their little darlings. The event culminated with the Grand Finale where all the participants made an effort to drench the spectators in the colours of patriotism.

The Principal of the School, Dr. Goswami not only applauded the efforts of the children but also thanked the parents for their spirited participation in the event.
