Today class V students enjoyed their visit to Pizza Hut, Panipat where in they learnt the process of making Pizza form the cooks at Pizza Hut and enjoyed it with a feast of their own – made pizzas at the end.

The Morning at TMS, Panipat reverberated with the excited chatter of the students who were there to prove the best in themselves. National Sports Day was celebrated with a great zeal. A special event-Cross Country Run was organized to pay a tribute to the hockey legendary- Major Dhyan Chand.

The principal, Mrs Amita Kochhar appreciated the efforts of students and encouraged them to come forward in all fields of life. As the event was a tribute to a hockey genius, she made students aware about the importance of sports and the lessons through which we learn about teamwork, honesty and integrity. She gave away the prizes to the winners to feel them the privileged one.

The investiture ceremony
TMS Panipat held its investiture ceremony for the session 2014-15, in the Millennium Hall of Inspiration on the 30th of August at 9 am. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the visit of the Director of the school, Dr. Bindu Rana.
The office bearers were presented with badges by Dr. Bindu Rana, who spoke about the qualities of a good leader in her speech.
The Principal, Amita Kochhar administered the oath of office to the newly elected student council members who formally took on their new responsibilities.
On behalf of the newly appointed student council, the headgirl and the headboy expressed their gratitude to the school for having reposed faith in them and promised to stay committed to their duties with honesty.
Among the guests in attendance, were the proud parents of the members of the student council, TMS staff and students.

The Inter-School debate competition

The Inter-School debate competition organized by the The Millennium School, Panipat, in conjunction with Shaheed Capt. Atul Somra Memorial Trust, was the maiden episode planned by TMS Panipat Debating Society.
The competition was held at the Millennium Hall of Inspiration, within the school premises, on 18th July, 2014.
The debate was contested among 48 students from 12 well-known schools of Panipat and the neighboring cities,
on the motion :
That democracy is hampering the progress of India.

The Panel of Judges was chaired by Dr. Neeru Gupta, Mr. O.P. Manmani, an eminent writer and critic and also by Mr. Satish Guglani, a well known philanthropist.
Certificates and trophies were presented to the participants under the following categories:
Interjector: Consolation, III, II and I
Speaker: Consolation, III, II and I
Overall School Winner: I
The competition helped develop confidence and knowledge in all the participants.

Nurturing Responsible and Enlightened citizens of Tomorrow…….

The assembly at TMS,Panipat on  16th May was a historical one .   As the top brass members of the student council   were democratically elected.  The students got an insight into the democratic system of our nation , wherein  all the norms of elections were complied with.

First of all, the names of the candidates were shortlisted and recommended by the class incharges.The candidates vying for the posts of Head Boy, Head Girl , Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl read out their manifestos. The candidates in their speeches reiterated the need for the upkeep of discipline , promised to be impartial , and empathetic to the problems of the students.

The monitors of classes VI to XII casted their votes  in favour of the most suitable candidates .Printed ballot papers were provided to the voters. To maintain sanctity of the elections , covered ballot boxes were set up at the polling booths. The ballot boxes  were opened in the presence of the Principal -Ms. Amita Kochhar, Coordinators-Mr. Rupesh Kumar, Ms. Mukta Nagpal and Ms. Meetu Bedi.

The newly formed student council will be steered by the Head Boy- Master Shaurya Tickoo, Head Girl -Ms Deeksha Nagpal. They will be assisted by Deputy Head Boys- Master Tanmay Bansal (class XI) , Master Aditya Gullia(class X),Deputy Head Girls – Ms. Navneet Sandhu  and Jahanvi Jaitley of class X.

The Principal -Ms. Amita Kochhar congratulated the newly formed members of the student council and urged them to serve with utmost dedication and sincerity.

National Cyber Olympiad
‘Computers have revolutionized the way we live. It has given us infinite possibilities and power to change our environment and the universe as a whole.’

The NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) is a global search competition that aims at identifying and nurturing cyber talent amongst the youngsters.

13th SOF National Cyber Olympiad was organized at TMS, Panipat. Ten millenniumites made their presence felt at the national level by winning medals in the various categories. The classwise proud winners are:

TMS Inter House Quiz

The 26th of February 2014 , 8:45 am onwards- while the contestants from all houses racked their brains over answering the questions volleyed by the quiz masters, the audience that comprised of non participating students experienced nearly the same excitement and appreciative commotion that took over the participants on stage. Thanks to the Audience Round.

At TMS Interhouse Quiz Contest, impressively hosted by TMS Quizzing Club, the questions for participants came from a variety of topics, viz. Earth & Space, Flora & Fauna, People & Places, Current Affairs, Mental Math. The Rapid Fire round concluded the quiz. Agni House -Raghav (IX), Ishan (VI)& Gaurang (IV), emerged as winner.

The Principal Amita Kochhar delighted in being a part of the event that she acknowledged as by far the best quiz show organized in the school. Kudos to all the Millenniumites! And of course not to forget- The Bar has been Raised !

An Inter House Maths Quiz was organized at TMS, Panipat on 31st January, 2014. The participants entered the foray well armed and equipped with Maths concepts and logics.
The quiz masters Ms. Nitasha Thakur, Mr. Yatin Rawal, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and Ms. Vasudha Sharma posed a volley of questions and brain teasers which were deftly responded by the participants.

Christmas Day Celebration

Come December and its time to bid adieu to the current year and gear up to usher in the new year. On 24th Dec , the Millennium campus was abuzz with the Christmas celebration. A special assembly was organized which was coordinated and conducted by the bright sparks of The Little Millennium. Christmas carols and ringing of Santa Claus’s bells wafted through the environs. A dance drama depicting the birth of Jesus Christ and the fervour of Christmas uplifted the spirits of one and all. Santa Claus blessed the children and distributed sweets. The Principal –Ms. Amita Kochhar showered her blessings and urged the students to emulate Jesus Christ’s spirit of forgiveness, mercy and generosity. The festivities ended with the singing of the Millennium anthem.

Inter School Competition (Kaleidoscope)

Pre School Fest Kaleidoscope was organized on 20th Dec 2013 at TMS. A plethora of colourful events marked the festivities. The prime objective was to showcase and give a creative vent to the blooming buds of today. About 12 prestigious schools of Panipat put their artistic talent to test. The children were adjudged winners on the basis of their spontaneity, confidence, creativity and dramatic acumen.

All children gave a panache performance. The showstopper was the ramp walk by the children and their mothers with the theme being ‘Flowers’. The children and mothers adorned themselves with flowers and set the   ramp ablaze .

The Running Trophy was bagged by The Millennium School but being the host school it was handed over to Piet Sanskriti Public School .DSC_9255.JPG

Teacher’s Day Celebration

The Millenniumites launch Cleanliness Drive under the theme-My India, My Pride.

The Millennium School Panipat today celebrated Independence Day by with a difference by launching a cleanliness drive in village Azizullapur. The tricolour was unfurled in the school followed by a brief cultural programme creating a patriotic ambience. The Principal Mrs Amita Kochhar highlighted the importance of independence and the need to maintain it & launched the Cleanliness Drive in village wherein students stood in unison and cleared the streets and distributed jute bags. The Villagers were requested to Say ‘No to polybags’. The villagers appreciated the concern and happily agreed to use paper or jute bags.

   Basant is the seasons of festivity. TMS Panipat organized ‘Rang de Basanti’ in the school playground. Students put up their stalls of games. Parents also participated in Kite flying. Rangoli competition and badminton competition school Rock Band was also inaugurated on the occasion.

Student presented a melodious song followed by an enchanting dance performance. The Principal inspired the student to celebrate an Eco-friendly Diwali A Ramayana Quiz was also organized in which Jal House bagged the first position. The celebrations ended with the worshipping of Goddess Lakshmi.

Panthers won the match. The second match was played by Eagle XI and Vulture XI on Oct 17, 2012 . Eagle XI won the match.

D.A.V Tharmal colony panipat bagged the overall trophy. To keep our surrounding clean, TMS Panipat organized a cleanliness drive. The facilitators along with student visted Bichpadi Village. Students gave the massage of cleanliness measures covering each and every house in the village. Mock Parliament rocks at The Millennium School, Panipat

5th May 2012 became a historical day when the students of The Millennium School Panipat organized a mock parliament session in the Hall of Inspiration. The Lok sabha speaker called the shots and the Prime Minister and his team of Cabinet minister along with the opposition faced each other, giving firsthand knowledge of the debates. The students impersonating as Parliamentarians brought about the real effect when they aggressively addressed the hot issues. The rising prices were appropriately voiced through the topic ‘Inflation’. The new education system was also dissected through the topic ‘the grading system’.

The Principal Mrs Amita Kochhar congratulated the students and facilitators for related the ‘so called boring topics’ to real life situations and enlightening the audience through lively approach.

Jal Satyagrah in the Millennium


Dainik Bhaskar has taken the initiative to start a campaign under “ Jal Satyagrah” in the form of Audio-video with the theme of “changing simple habits to reduce water consumption in our daily life” and save a significant amount of water. Dainik Bhaskar team visited The Millennium School to aware the students about the water scarcity and water conservation. Students took a pledge to save water.

Talent Hunt


Talent Hunt programme was organized to identify the hidden talent in new comers. The programme was divided in two parts. Vipul Vasishtha bagged the first position in singing competition. In dance competition Ist position was bagged by Bhavya, IInd position by Dhruv and IIIrd position by Rani in MLS-1. In MLS-II Ist position was bagged by Anurag, IInd position by Vishakha and IIrd by Guru Rehmat.

Educational Trip to Kurukshetra

An Education trip was organized for MLS-II to Kurukshetra.  Students enriched their knowledge and got their first hand experience about the training and problems of an astronaut by watching the planetarium show at ‘Kalpana Chawla Planetarium’. Students got the innovative ideas observing scientific inventions at Panorama.  Students had fun and frolic at Sheik Chilli Tomb.

A Special assembly to mark the harvest festival Baisakhi was conducted by Agni house. Tanmay gave a brief historical background of baisakhi through a presentation.  Punjabi song and mesmerizing bhangra performance spellbound the audience Nitya recited a beautiful piece of poetry based on the theme. The Celebration was concluded with the national anthem.

Trekking Trip To chail

Exuberant Students of TMS Panipat visited chail (Himachal Pardesh) on an adventure tour from 18th march 2012 to 21th march 2012. All enthusiastic children enjoyed artificial rock climbing wall day and night tracking, river crossing, artificial valley crossing, bush craft navigation, map reading-based treasure hunt etc. Students had fun along with adventure

Sports Fiesta

The Millennium School, celebrated a Sports fiesta as TMS Olympics. The programme started with a formal welcome of the Guests. The students saluted the guests with a brisk March Past led by the Headboy Rakshit Ahuja and the head girl Aditi Jain guided the students through the sports oath ceremony. The Olympic Torch was lit and the meet was declared open.The fusion dance troupe of the school presented Mrig Mrichika- a thematic performance, followed by track and the field events. The Little Millennium children created an ambience of peace & pleasure through Yoga, Taekwondo and dancing. The sporty and adventurous team highlighted the spirit of sports through ‘Khel-Khel mein’. The Principal Ms.Amita Kochhar congratulated the school for an excellent performance and for bringing in a revolution in the field of education. The school Magazine-Visionaire was released, followed by an Acrobatic show, wherein students turned daredevils and showcased stunts and pyramid formations with general awareness on self defence. The programme ended with the declaration of closure of TMS Olympics. Mr.Pankaj Nain S.P. of the city was the chief Guest & Mrs.Nirmal Dutt eminent social worker of the city was the Guest of Honour.

Christmas is in the Air
TMS Students celebrated Christmas with great fun. Carol  ' showers of Blessing' was sung by MCCPA Students. A wonderful presentation was given, unfolding lot of information about Jesus's Birth, Santa and how this celebration started. Finally our tiny toddlers sang and danced on' Jingle Bells' and the most awaited Santa came on His sledge .All were happy and excited to see him ,specially the younger ones. Sweets were distributed and the party ended with everyone dancing in the Hall of Inspiration.

Musical Extravaganza at the Millennium School


The Millennium School Students presented a musical extravaganza through their Millennium Centre for Creative & Performing Arts presentation. The centre celebrated its First Annivarsary. Pandit Barunpalji – a renowned personality in the field of music and the first disciple of Pt. Ravi Shankar along with the Principal Ms. Amita Kochhar lit the lamp. The vocal Group presented a Ram Bhajan capturing the audience.


Mrs. Amita Kochhar lent a warm welcome to a mesmerized audience, highlighting the achievements of the programme. The violine players created an aura alankars and raag bhupali.


Raag Yaman created a pleasant ambience engulfing raag bhupali. The choir group took the audience to a spiritual journey through Sur Ke Sadhak, with each child giving inputs individually.


The dancing fingers of the tabla players did wonders with their Kaayde and Plate . Raag Yaman and Bhupali were blended well by the synthesizer group.


The Kathak dancers amazed the audience with their expressions through the Guru Vandana , tode, tukre and teehai’s.


Pandit Barunpal ji felicitated the 1st batch pass outs. The released CD’s for all disciplines created by the Gurus. The eve was a tremendous success with a gigantic applause at the Hall Of Inspiration.

MLS -I visited Kurukshetra on 26th Nov. The exuberant students visited the zoo to watch the animals and birds. They came face to face with history at Krishna Museum and development of science and technology in India at the Panorma. The students watched a show on the solar system at the Kalpana Chawla Planetorium and went on to watch the historical Skeikh Chilli ka Makbara. The last destination held special attraction at Mac Donald's Karnal.

Guru Purab Celebration
9th Nov marked the celebration of birthday of first Guru of Sikhs ‘ Guru Nanak Devji’ with complete serenity and religious devotion. The programme started with ‘ Prabhat Pheri’ by students and teachers followed by ‘ Shabd Kirtan’ by a group of students and ‘ Ardaas’ by Ms. Amrit to Guruji on behalf of Millennium family to shower his blessings. TMS, Panipat organized a live sports exhibition titled sports Expo II-2011 which demonstrated the performing skills of all the students in their respective games in front of the parents. Special Assembly to mark the festival of Janmashtmi was conducted by ‘ Agni House’ beginning with Bandish and bhajan by MCCPA students followed by theme based presentation by Navneet and manik and a group dance by MCCPA students to mark the celebration at vrindavan. Finally, ‘Puja Ceremony’ was conducted by Principal Mam and all the staff members followed by Prasad distribution to the entire school. World Health Day and Baisakhi Celebration

Special Assembly on account of ‘ Navratra’s ‘ And ‘World Health Day” was organised on 8th April. ‘Ms. Preeti and her class VI B were given the responsibility to organise the assembly .After the Dhyan Mudra’, Gayatri Mantra was chanted. Anchoring /Coordination of the programme was done by Oshan . Some clippings highlighting –How to stay healthy and keep our environment clean were forecast on the screen. Followed by Nidhi Mam tips to the students on “How to stay healthy and wealthy”. A bhajan dedicated to’Vaishno mata ‘ was sung by a group of students and diya was lit by Principal Mam and our coordinators. After that aarti was sung by Ms.Anjana., the music teacher and simultaneously all the staff members gave their offerings to ‘ Ma Durag’. Vasu gave a brief introduction on the importance of ‘Navratras’. Then some students one by one gave wishes through religious slogans to all. Finally our principal mam wished each and every countrymen ‘Happy Navratras’ and prayed to ‘Ma Durga’ to shower all the blessings on all of us with  singing of National Anthem and prasad was distributed.

Teacher Vs Students - Cricket Match

On the very second day of the beginning of our session we continued our motto to impart such and education to our students that focuses on overall development of our children. We had special focus on physical development of our children. Also to keep our staff members physically active we had a cricket match between the students and staff members. Our respectable Principal Mam and worth coordinators conveyed their best wishes to both the teams. ‘Toss” was won by the students, they choose to ball first. ‘Ranvir sir’ was the captain of staff team. ‘Aman Arora’ of class ‘VIII A’ was the captain of student team . Mrs. Anjan , Mrs, Niatsha , Tanmay (VIII A) , Aditya Gulia (VII B) took charge of commentary, Ms. Chitra took charge of keeping record of the runs scored.

Batting first, all the staff members of the team played well and scored 90 runs in 10 overs. Students also chased them with great energy and made their teachers to run hard to stop them score the runs. Teachers had a tough competition. Teachers took advantage of their experience and heights and could score better but still overall performance who got two wickets and ___ runs was declared ‘The man of the match’. HE was awarded by our Principal Ma’m.

New Session Beginning

To celebrate the beginning of the new session special assembly was conducted by the school. Assembly began with Dhyan mudra followed by chanting of ‘Gayatri Mantra’. Then Prayer was sang by students and teachers. Then a welcome song was sung by the staff members ‘We are the Millennium family”.to boost the spirits of all the members of the school. As India won the ‘ Cricket World Cup’ on 2nd April, Anjana Mam, the music teacher focused the attention of every one on certain clippings of the great moment of rejoice. Side by side she sang the song “ De ghuma ke” changing the lyrics “Diya ghuma ke” and involved the whole school in the song. All were full of enthusiasm and thrill. It was really a celebration time. It was followed by the speech of our honorable principal Mam,’Mrs. Amita Kochhar’. She congratulated the whole school for successful completion of two years and hoped for the better progress than previous years. She was happy to see that our Millennium Family is increasing in number and improving in quality by the passage of time. She expected each member to work so efficiently that ‘MPH’ falls short to accommodate the strength of our school. With her best wishes she concluded her address to school . after that National Anthem was sung and the students and teachers dispersed to their respective classrooms.

Parent Orientation - 2011

A parenting workshop was held in the Hall of Inspiration wherein anxious parents and an eminent counselor Mr. Raman Gupta held an interactive session. The Discussion centered around the following points :


  • Role of parents in upbringing the child in conjunction with school authorities.
  • Understanding the needs of children.
  • Self control of stress and not releasing it on children.
  • Proper picture of our financial status to children.


Parents were really enthusiastic to discuss about their problems related to their wards and Mr. Raman was able to satisfy their enquiries. Finally parents dispersed to the respective classes of their wards to interact with the concerned teachers and the book were distributed to them.

AROMA - (Annual Function - RTW)

TMS Panipat held its Annual Function for its Pre-Primary section titled Aroma – The fragrance of life. The function started with  a formal welcome to the Chief Guest , Mr. R K Ghosh director of IOCL, Panipat unit by Ms. Mitu Bedi. After lighting of the lamp the toddlers seeked showers of blessings from the Almighty. Students shook the stage with ample twists, turns and abundant energy. Another lot huffed and puffed with  train setting vibrations. An Arabian  ambience was set on stage after which the Principal Ms. Amita Kochhar presented the Annual Report. Physical fitness was visible in the Aerobics show. Flora and Fauna of the country was well expressed through a wonderful performance and amazing dress sequence. A mesmerizing play on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was followed by Prize Distribution for various categories such as Master Mind, Prim and Proper, Energy capsule etc. The chief Guest appreciated the efforts of students and the staff and congratulated them for the huge success of the show . The tiny tots took up guns, chairs , sticks and caps showcasing chivalry,  endeavor and innovation in dance. Each participants was given due honour through a vote of thanks by the students of Class I ( Maneya and Akriti)

Spring Carnival

The Millennium School splashed spring hues throughout the city. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Dilip Dua, Mr. Surendra Rewari, Mr O.P. Miglani, The president, the Secretary of patron of the yarn association and Mr. Raman Aneja, the President of Rotary Club Mid Town. The Students presented a melodious welcome song followed  by the on the spot Tongue Twister competition. The little ones created a festive ambience through a fancy dress show followed by story telling competition and then solo dance competition. The over flooded Mall made the  event a huge success as Face Art, Nail Art and Magic Show were exemplary attractions. The art competition drew abundant entries. All eminent dignitaries of the town along with a houseful of public attended the event which was sponsored by Rotary Club Mid Town with Media partner Dainik Bhaskar and outdoor partner, SS outdoors judgement of the competition was done by Dr. Anjali Bansal, Mrs. Namrata Kher, Mrs. Ranjana Goel, Mrs. Kanchan Sagar and Mrs. Neelu Miglani.

Republic Day Celebration

On 26th Jan , 2011 the whole TMS family gathered in the Hall of Inspiration with zeal and zest. Everyone with the feeling of patriotism stood straight on the tune of National Anthem and flag hoisting done by the Principal Mrs. Amita Kochhar.  A  group of children of Akash House presented a melodious song. A write-up on the importance of the day was presented followed by a presentation by Manish. A thought provoking quote was spoken followed by quiz. Everyone took a pledge for the sake of the  nation. Mrs. Pushpa enlightened the assembly on the topic of Patriotism – Swadesh Prem. The principal gave her best wishes to everyone on the 61st Republic Day. Everyone dispersed with a packet of sweets for their home.

Magic of Motivation (Parenting Workshop)

A workshop for right parenting was organized by Educomp team. The programme commenced by MCCPA students followed by welcome and introduction of the team. Mr. Rohit and his team members played entertaining games with parents present and children. He told the importance of right parenting and motivation through short stories and a play. The Principal Mrs. Amita Kocchar then thanked the team and also showed the path how school and parents together can work for right parenting. The transformation was tremendous and encouraging.

Teacher's Training

A two day workshop was conducted by Ms. Monica Sardana on stress Management and accelerated learning. Though stress is unavoidable but the workshop helped the teachers how to manage the balance, deal with it and helping students to overcome stress. Stress is good if it is positive and it leads to confidence and motivation. It also helped the teachers to teach their students to solve problems and make them learn through problem solving. The workshop also insisted on effective learning in class, motivation for students and allowing the children to think what and why they are learning anything. The training was very effective and commendable.

A special Assembly was conducted by Prithvi House to welcome the new year and say goodbye to 2010. Tanvi conducted the assembly, Gantavya gave his thoughts to welcome new year through a poem and Shaurya gave a powerpoint presentation showing all the events happened in the year. Students also presented a dance to welcome 2011 and say goodbye to 2010. Everyone wished each other and Principal- Ms. Amita Kochhar wished and motivated the students to achieve success by using presence of mind.

A special assembly was conducted by  Jal House to celebrate Christmas. They made it interesting by reciting a poem , giving information about 12 days celebration of the festival. Ms. Geetika gave a powerpoint presentation to mark the importance of the festival Uday , a student of class VII was disguised as Santa Claus and distributed sweets among the students which gave a lot of happiness to the younger children.

Annual Concert

The Millennium school, Panipat held its II grand Annual Concert titled “ Mitti ke Rang” on the 18th of Dec, 2010. Mr J. C. Ahlawat D.C. was the Chief Guest. The Function started  with the lightening of lamp followed by the Symphony. A Classical dance performance and Ganesh Vandana was presented by the students of MCCPA. An Annual Report was presented by the Principal. The students presented a role play “ The Mother’s Day” paying respect to the mothers worldwide. Thereafter a Prize Distribution was held after cultural show “ Mitti ke Rang” was presented depicting the folklore of all states of India. In This all the students of MLS I & MLS II participated with full zeal enthusiasm. The concert was a grand success.

A visit to a restaurant

As per planner visit to a restaurant activity was scheduled on wednesady 8th Dec, 10.Children were taken to Sing ‘ N’ Swing resort on the same day during school hours. The purpose of the activity was to make the children aware of table manners, wash your hands before meal, to show them where the napkin and utensils go in relation to the plate or bowl and as well as socializing in public. Children were served three course meal consisting of starters, main course and desert. Games were also organized to have fun as a team outside the school. Children had lunch together and learned the table manners while dining outside.

Field Trip to Signal Point and Fly Over Bridge

The wheels of the bus went round and round…. With RTW children. The children of RTW went around the city. It took one hour in the bus to cover the following places Fly over and traffic signal.  They got to see flyover and also the various vehicles on the road.

Traffic Signal – children were shown traffic signals on the road and were explained RED Light means STOP, ORANGE light indicates GET READY and GREEN light indicates ‘ GO’.

TMS Olympics

TMS Olympics was held on 20th November 10. It was declared open by the Principal by lighting the torch followed by the Oath taking Ceremony. All the four houses gave a marching salute to the Principal. Different sports events including fun races were organized in which the students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Medals and certificates were given to the students. The Olympics was declared closed and the flagging off ceremony by the Principal put an end to a successful event organized by TMS Panipat.

Mrs. Nitasha Bharadwaj and Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur organized “ Fun with Science” For Class I and II. The students enjoyed all the science activities and showed great enthusiasm for experimenting them.


The Science teachers Ms. Meenal, Ms. Preeti and Ms. Garima organized an Inter House Science Quiz for classes, VI- VIII on 18th Nov and for classes III to V on 19th Nov, 10.

A special Assembly was organized by Akash House to mark the special occasion of Guru Nanak’s Birthday. A Prabhat Fairy was taken out and one shabad was sung by the students. An ardaas was done by Ms. Amrit in which she seeked blessings for everyone. In the end Prasad was distributed to everyone.

Class Picnic (RTW)

It was funday for RTW children. The little ones had a wonderful time at Ansal Garden. The children carried their dry snacks in cute little bags. After a short break all children went for a round of the park to see the greenery. The children also enjoyed their day at the swings and slides in the garden. After a full day of enjoyment, the children came back exhausted wearing big smiles on their faces.

A special assembly was organized by Agni House to give special love and tribute to Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru on his birth anniversary. The whole assembly was conducted by the teachers to show their love to the children. They sang a song – “ Inaaf kid dagar pe”

Later a game was played in which a chit was picked and a teacher had to do something for the entertainment of children. Ms. Mukta Nagpal shared her views and gave her blessings to the children.

Diwali Celebration

A special Assembly was organized by Prithvi House to celebrate Diwali. A speech and two poems on Diwali were recited by the students. A message was given by theatre club by making them aware about the harmful effects of crackers. Students also presented a Bhajan – “suraj ki garmi se jalte hue man ko……….” Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Ganesh were worshipped by the Principal along with staff members . Prasad was distributed to the whole school at the end.

Indradhanush Fiesta (21Oct- 24 Oct)
A talent hunt competition was held at TMS Panipat which had been a craze throughout the city. After undergoing rigorous practice session, the participants underwent auditions, adjudged by a panel of eminent culturally qualified personalities. Out of 250 entries from across the city, 60 appeared on the Grand Finale on 24rt Oct, 10. These entries were adjudged by another panel which included Mrs. Priti Aneja – a renowned director of Shubhash  Ghai Fame, Ms. Amrit Aneja – chairperson of Aap Productions announced the proud entry of these talented buds who would be groomed and definitely reach heights in the film industry. An enthusiastic crowd applauded the announcement of the winners by the Principal – Mrs. Amita Kochhar

A special assembly was organized by Jal House to mark the victory of good over evil. Vasu of Class V gave a speech to mark the importance of the occasion . a brain storming quiz was organized by Mrs nitasha bharadwaj which really enlighted eveyone’s knowledge . Mrs. Amita Kochhar, the Principal shared her view with children. All the children were full of zeal and enthusiasm before the onset of Dusshera Break.

Solo Dance Competition - RTW

The school organized Solo Dance Competition on Wednesday 6th Oct 2010 for Roots to wings children during school hours. Maximum time given to each participant was three minutes. The theme given to them was Indian Western Dance.

Parents were requested to send CD of the child’s selected song with proper name slip. Parents were preparing their child on their own.

Participants came dressed up according to dance. They were marked on their costumes, expressions, choreography and confidence.

A beautiful assembly was organized by Agni House on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti . Students of classes IV-VI sang a song in the loving memory of Bapu “ De di hame azadi”. A beautiful poem wsa also recited ad a quiz was conducted on the life of Gandhiji. Ms. Chitra presented her views on the favourite bhajan of gandhji” Vaishnav Jan”. The Principal guided the students to follow the path of Non violence and Truth.

Field Trip to places of worship

The students of RTW were taken to places of worship( Temple, Gurudwara and church) in model town . The motive of the field trip was to make children aware of the neighborhoods. The students were briefed about the temple, gurudwara and church. The students took round of the temple and they were explained that Hindus go to temple, Sikhs goto gurudwara , Christians go to church and muslims go to mosque. The diverse culture of our nation is reflected in this field trip.

Workshop on "Pottery" and "Chess"

A workshop on Pottery “Try your hands at pottery” was conducted by Mr. Kishan Lal. He taught different stages of pottery to the students. Students participated with full enthusiasm and made different types of pets which were displayed by them in the Art Room. The workshop was also attended by Principal Mam, the Headmistress and teachers who tried their hands on pottery.


Our school also invited Mr. Naveen Arora, a master in chess to teach the basics of the game. He introduced himself and taught chess to our students where he told them about the names of different parts and how and when to make the moves. It was a fun filled activity as students in groups and enjoyed the game.

Babies Day Out - RTW

Babies day out activity was arranged for Roots to wings children on Friday 17/09/10. Children were taken to Mc Donalds on the same day. The purpose of this activity was to make them aware about various places in the neighborhood.. The roots to Wings children had a gala time. They boarded the school bus and were on their way to the Mc Donalds singing songs, clapping hands and tapping their toes. At Mc. Donald’s children were served French fries, ice cream and Aloo Tikki burger. What a better way to enjoy the sense of taste, than this !!

Hindi Diwas

Kavi Sammelan was organized by the school which was sponsored by Manav Sankalp Society, Panipat. Three students from each class participated in the event. All the poems were beautifully recited. MR. K. C, Singhal retired chief engineer, Haryana Govt. Patron of the society enlighted students. The results were also declared and the winners were awarded trophies along with certificates by the members of the society. A momento was also given by the society to honour the school and the Principal.

TDP Classes Commence

The Millennium Centre commenced on 9th Sept, 10 with full zeal and enthusiasm. All the students of different disciplines along with the Principal and Gurus were present. The centre started with Saraswati Vandana followed by small puja, lighting of lamp and tilak ceremony done by respective Gurus.

Treasuring Grand Parents

TMS, Panipat celebrated Grand Parent’s Day with full enthusiasm, with grand parents proudly walking beside their wards. The relationship between generations can be very enriching for young and old alike. What’s most important is to make the grand parents feel special and let them know how important they are in their grand children lives. So we put aside a day to bring them into the limelight. The children performed various programmes like dancing , singing etc. and entertained their grand parents immensely. The grand mother of one of the child in roots to wings , thanked the children through a solo dance performance. All the grand parents were overwhelmed with joy seeing their children perform so professionally and they expressed their heart-felt gratitude for making them feel so special.

Teacher's Day Celebration

A Special assembly was organized by Agni house to honour the teachers. A beautiful poem was recited to show heart felt gratitude to the teachers. A brain teasing quiz was also organized . Importance of the teachers was told through different shlok’s like “ Gurur Brahma”. Fun has no bounds , no age , no bars. The teacher proved that an able mind has an able body . For a change they put aside their teaching and enjoyed themselves. A refreshed mind has a lot of energy and zeal to work. All teachers were taken for a grand lunch organized by the school management at City Palace restaurant.

Gokulashtami Celebration

A special Assembly was conducted by Prithvi House and Theatre Club to celebrate the pious occasion of Janamashtami. The assembly started with the recitation of a shlok to tell  why and when this festival is celebrated . Savvy and Gantavya along with Madhav told the various names of Lord Krishna and their meaning . Pooja celebration followed by Aarti  done by our respected Principal ma’am and all the worthy teachers .A beautiful dance and song was presented by the theatre club students . Last but not the least a grand surprise was there for all the students that was Dahi Handi.  It  is celebrated to mimic the stealing of butter by Krishna. An earthen pot containing butter , ghee and dry fruits is hung at a height with the help of a rope energetic children make a human pyramids and climb on each other to reach the pot and break it. Thus it signifies the importance of team work.

Best USe of Waste (RTW)

An Exhibition was organized on the theme of Best use of waste. It was held in school premises on Saturday 28th Aug, 10. This exhibition was especially for Roots to Wings parents who worked hard  with their children to complete the activities assigned for summer holidays. Through this we appreciate their innovative ideas while helping their child.

A joint Venture by the Millennium School  and Rotary Club was organized to mark the importance of planting trees and common Wealth games on 22nd Aug, 10.It encourages every citizen to adopt simple yet compelling causes like say no to plastic bags, save water, plant a tree, get rid of air Pollution, save our universe- enabling them to create a cleaner and greener forever. A walk started from Devender Bakery Huda Sector 11-12 to Mittal Mega Mall. All the students of our school from Class II onwards participated enthusiastically. Many more schools like MASD, Arya School , SDVM etc. also joined the walk. Deputy Commission Mr. Ahlawat hoisted the flag and flew off the balloons to begin the event. Students distributed plants to various people along with jute bags and requested them to make Panipat City Clean and green. The Principal – Mrs. Amita Kochhar also made an appeal to the public to make the city clean and green and also made them aware about the common wealth games to be held in n- Delhi from 3rd Oct to 18th Oct. , 10 Many parents and other organizations also joined the walk and made it a big success

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

A special assembly was organized to celebrate the festival – Raksha Bandhan by Jal House. It is a festival primarily observed in north India which celebrates the relationship between brother’s and sisters. The festival is observed by Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. The central ceremony involves the tying of Rakhi by a sister on her brother’s wrist. This symbolizes the sister’s love and prayer’s for her brother’s well being and the brother’s life long vow to protect her. Students of Jal house made it lively by giving a speech and by presenting a meaningful skit. Vice Literary captain, sports captain , cultural captain from each house were given badges to make them aware of their responsibilities.

An inter class rakhi making competition was held on 18th and 20th of August in which the students showed their capability and creativity

MCCPA Launching, Investiture Ceremony and Celebration of Independence Day

    The programme started at 10:30 am with a welcome speech by Head Mistress- Ms. Lata Tejpal to introduce the chief Guest Ms. Ranjana Sharma, chairperson of consumer forum followed by Flag Hoisting and a patriotic song by Class II students. The DEO Ms. Middha also joined the programme. The programme was compeered by Two students of class VI- Radhvi and Aditya. The Millennium Centre of creative and performing Arts was launched by the Principal Ms. Amita Kochhar. The gurus were introduced by the Coordinator Ms. Nitasha accompanied by Mr. Indevar followed by the presentation of different gurus in their respective fields. The Students Council was also announced . . Last but not the least – Programme was finished with a grand Dance – Drama ‘ Rediscovering India’.

Rainbow Month (RTW)

We celebrated colour month in august. The children were suppose to come in colourful dresses on those days. Children recognized and labeled the basic colours.


While the children built their vocabulary based on colours, they were also encouraged to use short phrases as “ Thank you” and “ Sorry” while interacting with peers and adults in a social setting.

An Inter House Quiz and Math-O-Magic was conducted by literary club in which Ms. Anamika, Mr, Indevar, Ms. Pridhi and Ms. Sudesh Co-ordinated the programme. The programme was hosted by Mr. Indevar and Ms. Pridhi and the scorer was Ms. Sudesh. The quiz consisted of five rounds. They were  General Awareness, Literary , Mathematics, Audio-Visual and Rapid Fire rounds. All the slides and visual were prepared were prepared by our Computer Department- Ms. Geetika, Ms. Ritika and Ms. Chitra. It was a well organized programme in which even the audience also participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Birthday Celebration (RTW)

Birthday celebration is done on every last working day of the month.


NO matter where you are or how old you get, a birthday should be special. First of all in order to celebrate birthdays we make a calendar to hang on the wall that list everyone’s  birthdays. This help us to know exactly when children want to celebrate their birthdays. We all sing “Happy Birthday” along with parents and other children of the class.

Pool Party (RTW)

Young innovators of roots to wings enjoyed a pool party with their facilitators as they experimented and understood concepts like sink and float. It was a sight to see them in their colourful costumes. The day ended with lots of learning and fun.

Visit To Chetna School (Community Service Club)

The Community Service Club of TMS , Panipat paid a courtesy visit to Chetna School. The Students went to this slum-dwelling to acquaint themselves with the lesser privileged. They had a glimpse of the poverty and scarcity of clothing and non –existent facilities. The TMS students personally interacted with students taught them and presented their song and heard them singing. They were emotionally touched and came back to do something willingly for them. They found their handwriting appreciable. 17 students and Ms. Mukta, Ms. Meenal, Ms. Garima, Ms. Meenakshi went for community service.

Van Mahotsava


A special and motivated assembly was conducted by Agni House and Eco-Club to celebrate Van Mahotsava. It conveys the message of Tree plantation. A quiz was organized to give information on plants and trees. A small skit was presented to show love and care for trees. Rhymes were also recited by the students. It gave us the message to plant more and more trees. After that our worthy principal Mrs. Amita Kocchar enlightened the assembly with her valuable thoughts.

Swimming classes for Summer month

It is time to celebrate the summer, the bright sunny sky with cool water to beat the heat, with mangoes and watermelon to relish.

At the Millennium school, students enjoy themselves at the swimming pool, launched for the summer month. As they indulge in splashing water, games and tons of fun in the water, they are in the safe hands of

trained instructors, dedicated teachers and guards.

Reopening of TMSP after Summer Vacation

The day started with a short assembly, where all the students and teachers gathered and were welcomed by each other. All the students were excited and were very fresh and rejuvenated. They rejoiced after coming back to school.

Guru Shishya Parampara Camp


The GuruShishya Parampara Camp started on 23rd May ’10 with Diksha Samaroh. The students took blessings from their respective gurus and were adopted by them for 6 days. Students learnt a variety of things here in this day and night camp which included learning various disciplines, sports activities, quiz after documentaries or short movies, songs in eight different languages of India etc. This camp commemorated with an aesthetic ambience. The disciples performed authentically for two hours on the stage. The gurus and teachers contributed their best in making the camp successful. Parents were also invited to cheer up their wards during the performance at the main event. The routine was highlighted by Principal Mam and memorable moments were presented on the stage through a slide show. Various Gurus were introduced followed by spellbound performances of children in vocal music, violi, flute , guitar, table, synthesizer, Kathak etc. The theatre group gave a marvelous performance on global warming which was followed by Yoga presentation. An exhibition was also displayed by the craft section which was appreciated by all.

            The Guru Shishya Parampara proved to be a grand success.

Special Assembly to mark the onset of Summer Vacation

Prithvi House conducted a special assembly to mark the onset of summer vacations. They presented two role plays which highlighted the utilization of holidays. A quiz was also conducted to make the students realize the value of time. The students enjoyed the day having class fiesta in the lunch break.

 Inter house Debate Competition was held on 13th May 10 for classes VI-        VIII and Inter House Elocution and Declamation Competition was held on 14th May 10 for classes I-III and IV and V respectively. Mother's Day

Class V presented a special Assembly on account of Mother’s Day. A beautiful song-‘Yeh to sach hai ke bhagwan hai’ was presented to pay respect and love to all the mothers. Vasu ,a class V student recited a poem with a lovely message and another child Oshan recited a poem in English. Mother Teresa was declared citizen of the week.

Labour Day

The house conducted a special assembly to mark the importance of labour Day-A tribute was paid to all the labourers who enable us to live in luxuries comforts. A thoughtful poem with a pledge “karm ke pujari bane” was presented. The helping hands in the school were given blessings & a flower bud as a token of thanks by Principal Mam and the house mistress Ms. Gitika Sharma. The Supporting staff was also thanked by the students.

Earth Day

Earth Day was celebrated through a special assembly conducted by Akash house. The children were given a message to save Earth from global warming, pollution etc. through presentation, role – play , quiz and a beautiful poem. Students were motivated not to use polybags and make the environment clean and green.


Activities were organized in the classes in CCA periods.  We had paper tearing, collage making and poster making in which the topics were Incredible India, Let’s take care of our Planet Earth , Go Green and Health Awareness.

Talent Hunt (MLS1 & MLS2)
An Open competition for finding the talent in our aspiring children was organized in MPH for classes I- VII. The categories under which they performed were dance , singing , magical tricks , mono acting and poem recitation. All the students who participated were screened and selected . The whole school from I-VIII witnessed the programme and enjoyed. The programme was highly motivating and encouraged many children to climb up to the stage and increased their confidence

Special Assembly on the auspicious occassion of Baisakhi

On Apr, 13th, We all gathered in MPH to celebrate Baisakhi. Raghav Goyal of Agni House (class VI A) explained the importance of Baisakhi followed by Punjabi Gidda and Bhangra presented by the school students. The music teacher, Ms. Anjana along with students sang” Bolliyan” (Punjabi folk) which forced every one to tap their feet and everyone participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyment.

The Millennium School, Panipat commenced its second session on 8th Apr, 2010. A special assembly was organized to welcome and inspire the student which was addressed by Ms. Amita Kochhar-The Principal.  Thereafter students went to their respective classes where the Class Incharges had planned a few fun activities for them. All in all , a very nice day to begin the session with.

Parent's Orientation

Parents were cordially invited to the school for an orientation programme by an eminent psychologist, Dr. Shankar Goenka. He explained the scientific usage of brain and child psychology. After the session, the Principal Ms. Amita Kochhar introduced the school system and teachers associated with the school.

The new apprising parents and the existing ones showed enthusiasm after the session.

Lohri Celebration

The School celebrated Lohri with full vigour and enthusiasm. a traditional Puja was performed with Bonfire. The Principal Mrs. Amita Kochhar lite the fire setting stage for celebrations. MLS students dressed in Punjabi costumes presented a song ‘ ‘Chhaleya’….. and a dance performance on ‘Panj drian di dharti….”.All teachers followed a dress code of formal Punjabi suits and prandis.

The students danced and asked Lohri from teachers, Principal and Mr. Sachin. The aura was that of fun and every foot danced to Punjabi numbers with full gusto.

Students and staff were distributed nuts, popcorns and revaries.

Christmas Day Celebration

TMS Panipat celebrated Christmas, the traditional way . the Pre-Primary section kids  participated in a Fancy Dress Show , on the various characters of Christmas. Little fairies and angels even dolled up Christmas Trees. Class III students of the Primary section presented a role play on the birth story of Lord Jesus. The snow, the stars, the shepherds, Joseph and Mary showing Christ in a crib in a stable at Bethlehem created an ambience of the Holy Spirit. The audience joined in by singing Christmas carols and Santa Claus distributing sweets.

The students of classes IV, V and VI went to Yes Bank for a  workshop on productivity , where they were taught of using old newspapers creativity for gift wrapping. The students met the Santa and Enjoyed dancing to Christmas tunes. Mr. Deepak Malik the Manager always and spread word of not using plastics even for gift wrapping.

A day with Mr.Rahul Gandhi !!

On the historical day of 15th Dec 2009, a team of ten zealous students from T.M.S Panipat visited Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament at 10 Janpath, Delhi. Millennium Students idolized the Youth Icon who seems to have maintained a clean image in spite of all odds. The students had an interactive session introducing themselves and the Millennium Philosophy, which impressed him a lot.


The discussion started with inspiration as the subject and he emphasized that it was the young generation of today, which is an inspiration for him as well the country. He was also insistent on every child having a happy childhood and stressed that success cannot be measured. ‘It’s a journey not a destination’. He advised the students to earn everything rather than asking for wishes. He questioned the students if they felt; there was a link between Poverty and Terrorism. The students wittily answered all his questions. Mr. Gandhi enjoyed the interaction immensely. The session ended with a positive note and a worthy message that Mr. Gandhi sent to the whole school _______LISTEN, THINK & ENACT accordingly.

Ignited Minds

Inventions and discoveries form scientist. The would be scientist of TMS Panipat watched Ms. Nitasha Thakur spellbound through a ‘Magic through science show Magic bottle experiment, Friction  with balloons, Volcanoes – active dormant and soap solutions Magnetic effect of electricity and pressure exerted by air can cause wonders. All these spells were discovered by the students and they enthusiastically went home willing to try each experiment.

A Special Assembly was held in keeping with Geeta Jayanti.

Akash House students informed the other’s as to why Geeta Jayanti is celebrated. One of the student’s recited also presented the thought, News – Class I students also presented the thought, news – headlines and even a small story. The Principal Ms. Amita Kochhar encouraged the students to follow the path of truth and sincerity shown to us by Lord Krishna ages ago, at the time of Mahabharata.

Scholarship Awards

TMS Panipat in collaboration with AVIVA INDIA and ABN AMRO BANK felicitated its young and aspiring scholars. Parameters like Academics, co-curricular activities and a scholarship test were considered and students were awarded. Mr. Anil Narwal, the training head for Haryana, AVIVA INDIA and Mr. Anil Malhotra Area Manager, AVIVA INDIA , Mr. Shiv Shukla Branch Head ABN Amro Bank were present to grace the occasion. A presentation was shown to an audience of invited parents on the security of the future genertations Ms. Amita Kochhar, the Principal and Mr. Anil Malhotra awarded a scholarship of Rs. 5000 to Shuraya Prabhakar and Rs. 2500 each to Nikita Gupta and Tanmay Bansal. Many students received trophies and certificates for their exemplary performance.

Sports Day

A day to remember! The day began with the Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Dahiya the Deputy Commissioner Panipat and Mr. O.P. Miglani an eminent citizen of the city arriving at the school. They were given a traditional welcome by applying “Tilak”. The chief guest then planted a tree to memorise his visit. The school flag was unfurled and the meet was declared open. The four houses led by their House captains presented March Past. The girls Sports Caption Ms. Tanya Arora took the Olympic Oath and the sports Torch was lit by Master Tanmay Bansal the head boy followed by.

The Rajasthani troupe presented an eye – catching performance. Multicolored ensembles with colourful pitchers and graceful peacocks gathering The Millennium colours stoles took away the hearts of all present. The tiny tots of the play way group, nursery and kindergarten danced to western music and had the public applauding in delight. The students of classes I and II dressed in shimmering silver and marched stylishly to the tune of Vijay Path and gave them a standing ovation.

The Nursery Wing had their fun races, Bat Race, etc.

Guru Nanak Jayanti Celebration

A Special Assembly was organized to celebrate the birth jayanti of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The MLS group and Roots to Wings organized a Prabhat Pheri lending an aura of holiness. A heart rending Shabad “Shri Gurunanak paragat ya ….” was sung by the young singers. Little girls dressed in white suits and heads covered with orange dupattas and boys dressed in white kurtas with heads covered with white scarves showering flowers on the ‘sangat’ showed the high cultural values being inculcated in students.

A special Assembly was held to celebrate Diwali. Laxmi Poojan was held with all children and facilitator also participated. Ms. Amita Kochhar wished everyone a safe and Happy Diwali. Students swore a big NO to Crackers, thereafter distributed sweets to all.

Eco Club Launch

TMS Panipat launched the eco club today Mr.O.P Miglani and his family eminent citizens of  Panipat and Mrs. Amisha Beri – Marketing head , Educomp planted saplings and watched Presentations on the state of pollution in the city and students of the whole school took a pledge for Green Earth. The Green Brigade of classes III to VI was flagged of by Ms. Amita Kochhar and they went to town requesting general public to throw away poly bags and use jute bags. Each house was given a tree to plant and each student took a sapling to look after.

Gandhi jayanti celebration

A special assembly commemorating Gandhi Jayanti commemorating Gandhi Jayanti was held by MLS students. The choir group presented a bhajan. Gaurav Dhingra of class V enacted Mahatma Gandhi. House conducted the  Assembly and informed the students of Gandhi ji’s teaching and values. Mrs. Amita Kochhar also highlighted the morals that he gave the nation and expected her students to follow the path of truth and non- violence.

Dussehra Celebrations at The Millennium School Panipat

The Millenium School Panipat had an extravaganza for Dussehra and Navaratri. The learners and facilitators all dressed in traditional finery and entered the campus, which was already dressed up with rangoli, toran and a brightly lit and decorated entrance. Students of Primary Wing disguised as Lord Rama, Laxman, Sita and other mythological characters and presented a ballet on Ramayana. Characters and their performance transformed the atmosphere into an ambience of Satyug. The choir group sang and also played a melodious bhajan ‘Hey Ram, Hey Ram’


Later, the students and teachers both paid homage to Goddess Durga through the traditional Garba. The Pre Primary kids had a stint with Garba and enjoyed learning about their culture. All the students had a rezvendous experience with dandiya and shook the city with their gracious steps. The Teaching faculty seemed transformed into traditional representatives of culture imbibing cultural heritage into children through the dandiya raas. The euphoric ambience had the kids knowing the true India. The event had a perfect closing with the blessing of the Principal.

The students of Roots to Wings celebrated show and Tell competition based on open Theme on 18/9/09  Each student got one minute to tell his/her lines on the object or using props and all the creativity they can muster. Book Week

Book week commenced today, with students of the MLS wing designing Book Marks ad Book covers, bringing out the best of creativity and imagination, children imaginations were splashed over book covers and quotations highlighting importance of books.


Day 1 (14th Sep 09): The MLS students had a special assembly celebrating “Hindi Diwas”. Tanya Arora of class VI took the students through a mesmerizing journey of poetry recitation by class II students “Hua Savera Ab To Jago”


Day 2 (15th Sep. 09) : A number of young learners entered the stage carrying poster and raising slogans on use of Hindi. Akshat Singhal of class VI enlightened the audience on the advent of and usage of Hindi. Facilitator Ms. Nitasha Thakur made a plea to nation to remember the importance of poem. The Hindi facilitator Ms. Pushpa Sharma and the principal Ms. Amita Kochar highlighted the various prospects and aspects of the language

On Day 3 various characters from books came alive in a special assembly today. Classes I-VI put in great efforts . Raghav Goyal of class V took the audience through this nostalgic journey.

Day 3 (16th Sep. 09) MLS I students participated in a GK Quiz.


Day 4 (18th Sep. 09) : An Enigmatic view was presented by classes V and VI today through Multi – Media presentation on Book Review class V presented a presentation on two books.


The Roots To Wings students also celebrated “Show and Tell” competition based upon the theme on 18.09.09. Each students got one minute to tell his / her on the object or picture using props and all the creativity they can muster. By doing this students got confidence in speaking, oral expression and felt a sense of achievement.


All the students showed exemplary confidence and presented their power –point presentation through SMART CLASS. The Principal Ms.Amita Kochhar praised the students for their hard work and immense confidence. She appreciated the efforts put in by the students as well as facilitators Ms. Mukta B. Nagpal and Ms. Geetika Sharma.

Book Week celebrated at The Millennium School, Panipat(14th to 18th September 2009)

To inculcate joy of reading among its students, The Millennium School Panipat celebrated Book Week from 14th to 18th September 2009. The week long event saw enthusiastic participation by all students. 

The Book Week commenced on 14th September with students of the Primary wing designing Bookmarks and Book covers bringing out their innate creativity. An interesting range of book covers and book marks with quotations displayed the power of imagination.

A Literary Quiz was organized on 15th September for the students of classes IV to VI. Students of classes I to VI presented “Characters come Alive” from various popular plays like The Blue Umbrella, The Old Man’s Guests etc.

A film on Ruskin Bond’s famous novel ‘The Blue Umbrella’ was also shown on the occasion. The students viewed the movie and answered a Questionnaire based on it.


On 18th September a Multi media presentation was put up by students of Classes V and VI on book review of various novels like The Merchant of Venice, The Mirror World, The Blue Umbrella, The Bond of Love, Read me a story, Tom Sawyer, Robin Hood.

An educational trip was arranged for class Nursery A & B on 10/9/09. Prenursery and KG on 11/9/09 to Big Bazaar on the theme My neighbourhood.

Children were given direct experience of visiting nearby store.  At the store they found from grocery items to the electronics items and clothes under one roof. Children interacted with vendors and got exposure of the store. Teachers also explained them manners to be followed at the store. They should not run here and there and not to make noise and explained them they cannot take anything home without the payment. If they want any items they can pick up any of them and put in the basket or trolley and take it to the cashier for the payment. After
