Founder's Day Celebration Day 2

Inclement weather on 28th March, 2014 i.e. Friday could not dampen the spirits of all those responsible for the Third Founder’s Day celebration. After deciding about the change in the venue from open air to the school auditorium, due to the ever untiring efforts of the school’s support staff, everything was in place well in time. The function started with traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr. Jagbir Singh (Gen, Surgery, Super Specialty of Laparoscopy Surgery & Cancer), the Guest of Honour and the Principal. Two opening items of the evening were “Ganesh Vandana” and a bhajan. Fritz Karinthy’s play ‘Refund’ in English was highly appreciated by the audience who were present in overwhelming numbers. School teaching faculty also made their presence felt by appearing on the stage in different dresses of the states. This was followed by ‘Desh Rangila’, a song and dance number, and also a couple of songs by the school orchestra.
Students of class 6 presented a play highlighting the difficulties a woman faces in her life, and how she has become aware of her rights now. Once again, classic students enacted, in drama form, a few glimpses, in hindi from Lord Budha’s life. The audience applauded the message, of uprooting the disease, which the students of Class 6 and 7 gave through the play ‘Cancer’. A sincere and successful effort to turn the serious atmosphere to light was made by class 5 students with ‘Hasaya Kavi Samelan’. Before the evening’s program ended with ‘India Through Dances’, the Principal profusely thanked the audience who lauded the effort made by their wards and their teachers for guiding them.
