Second Founder's Day - ‘Wonderland Odyssey’

The Millennium School, Patiala organized its second Founder's Day- ‘Wonderland Odyssey’ on 25th March 2013 at The Harpal Tiwana Centre for Performing Arts. The students of classes 1 to 6 participated in this event.

The entire programme was strung together with the theme of ‘Wonderland’, where wonderland characters took the audience in their own world of fantasy. The programme began with lamp lighting ceremony-‘Glow of Lamps’. The comperes Mickey and Minnie gave a glimpse of Mughal Era with a play of Akbar and Birbal duo with the message of “whatever happens, happens for the best”. The ‘Divine Saga- Ganesh Vandana’ was a treat for the eyes. A unique blend of various festivals of India ‘Incredible India’s Unity in Diversity’ was portrayed in a dance form. A classical play ‘The Merchant of Venice’ by William Shakespeare was a display of the theatrical skills of the students. ‘Cultural Promenade’ showed a colourful display of rich culture and heritage of India giving the message of ‘Saving Water’. A perfect example of woman empowerment was depicted through a ‘Patriotic Serenade- Jhansi ki Rani’ and the musical ballad ‘Legend of a martyr –Bhagat Singh’ ignited the patriotic feelings of the audience. The Principal, Mrs. Neelinderjeet Kaur Sandhu presented her Annual Report highlighting the achievements & future plans of The Millennium School, Patiala. She also thanked the parents for being a part of this event. The programme concluded with the notes of National Anthem.
