The Millennium School, Amritsar celebrated its Annual Day- SWADESH- My Nation My Pride on November 4, 2023 i.e Saturday, a showcase of abounding talent in the form of music, dance as well as theatrical performances engendering ecstasy, ardor and vehemence amongst those who witnessed it. The program began with welcoming of the guests by the revered principal Ms Shailja Tandon and the lighting of the Lamp invoking the blessings of the Almighty. The School Choir presented an enchanting prayer song followed by a mellifluent Shabad sung by the students. The esteemed Chief Guest for the function Mr. Gurjeet Singh Aujla, spoke highly of the performances and appreciated the staff and the students for their evident efforts in putting together a brilliant show. The occasion was aggrandized by Mr. Rajesh Sharma ( DEO Elementary), Mr Sushil Tuli ( DEO Secondary), Mrs Vani Sachdeva, Mr Sandeep Sachdeva and Ms Natasha Khanna as the Guests of Honor. Various other dynamic personalities were also present to grace the occasion as special guests. The Annual Day - SWADESH- My Nation My Pride, was an extravaganza of India’s glorious journey of development over the years presented through an aesthetic light and sound show. The show focused on the ever escalating growth our country INDIA has made in almost all the spheres. It was a determined endeavor made by the students and teachers under the able guidance of Mrs. Nandini Malhotra (writer & Director of the show), drawing the attention to the blood and sweat put in by the frontline workers during corona, woman empowerment, achievements of ISRO and many other arenas where India has taken a dominant lead through soul- stirring dance performances and play enacted by the students across LM to grade 11. The final show reached its apex with an impassioned dance performance on a mashup praising the nation for its ever incessant growth. This entire Annual Day could be pulled together under the supervision of Mr Jaspreet Singh Walia, General Manager- Operations, who acted as a guiding light at every step. The Vote of thanks was presented by Ms Jaspreet Pal Kaur and Ms Supriya Chopra. The function was a grand success and was appreciated by one and all.
