The Millennium School Patiala conducted a Self Defence Camp for Girls today. Students from class III till XII participated in the camp. The instructor, Mr. Satwinder Singh shared instances of criminal acts in the city and counseled the girls to not be deterred in any situation on the contrary; they should remain calm and fearless. Mr. Singh taught techniques including blocks such as punches, hand blocks, elbow attacks, leg attacks, etc. Our Respected Principal, Ms. Vineeta Rajput addressed students and said that one of the major impacts of this activity is to instill a sense of fearlessness and enhancing mental strength among the girls. Children felt more confident and secured after learning techniques to defend themselves in times of crisis. A very positive trend was witnessed among students after the training. Award ceremony for the students winners of Kalaa Spandan International child Art Talent Award 2020 was also held, medals and certificates were distributed.
