‘FESTIVITIES AROUND THE GLOBE’
In this academic session 2019-20 The Millennium School Indore has initiated the process to instill international dimension into the learning experience. To give a glimpse of diverse festivities and celebrations around the globe, our students are all excited as they prepare to celebrate the most popular festival of South Korea ‘JEJU FIRE FESTIVAL’. The Jeju Fire Festival is the world's greatest fire festival that reinterprets the cattle farming traditions of Jeju through a modern sense. The festival's roots come from a tradition called “bangae,” which is to burn down the fields during the time between late winter and early spring. Situated off the southern coast of South Korea, Jeju Island is a mystical place, home to UNESCO World Natural Heritage Sites, stunning coastal scenery and some age old traditions. It is traditionally held on the first full moon of the new lunar year.
The students of grade V B will show their creativity by creating festive Jeju Fire Festival cards for their friends of partner School from Namwon Middle School in Jeju island, South Korea. The festive cards will play a significant meaning for the season for them.
