Dear Parents,

Summer break is round the corner and vacation to us mean lots of fun, getting up late, watching television etc. But we can do lot more to make the vacation of our dear children more rewarding. Please encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading few pages of a good Story Book. They may also practice Yoga for a healthy mind and body. To further extend the in-school opportunities to learn, here’s is a list of other activities/exercises.

Maths:

1)      Learn the squares of numbers from 2 to 30

2)       Solve  the worksheet given on Fliplearn.

3)      Complete the given table, which shows the distance of a few celestial bodies from the Earth.

1. Prepare a comic strip to give a pictorial presentation of any story of your choice with moral values. Your comic strip should contain the dialogues spoken by the character and should fit in A4 size sheets. Remember to include only the main events of the  story.    

2.Read the novel Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde by R.L.Stevenson. Who are the main characters in this novel?What is the high point of the novel?Give a brief about the writer and his other works.

Science:

1. Select any one topic among these: Tobacco , Alcohol and Drugs.

Make a PPT highlighting the causes , effects and ways to give up consumption of the substance chosen.( Not more than 10 slides)

In their times for example Mahatma Gandhi,  Martin Luther King Jr. Nelson Mendela.Choose a leader among them and discuss an incident from their lives that best portrays their struggle against the prevailing inequalities and their fight for just an equal rights for all.

2.Imagine you have to construct a museum, what things you will require to construct it. Frame a project   

   report on the procedure you will follow to construct the museum.
