TMS MUN 2019

The Millennium School, South City, hosted the sixth Model United Nations, TMS MUN from 2nd August 2019 to 4th August 2019. True to its spirit, the conference brought together young leaders, who engaged in some of the most controversial and pressing issues, wherein, they had the power and responsibility to turn hypotheticals and intangibles into blueprints for a better world.

The scent of confidence, the dripping exuberance, the crisp apparels and the resonance of rebuttal were infused into the ambience at the opening ceremony, which was presided over by the honorable principal of the school, Dr Manjula Goswami. She welcomed the delegates with her warm words and declared the conference open as an unparalleled educational simulation for the young learners of generation next. She reiterated the opportunity to harness and utilize the potential of all aspiring statesmen of the world which would transform individuals into delegates and delegates into leaders.

The two days witnessed a plethora of activities with the different committees discussing various global issues leading to the final conclusion.

There were a total of 8 running committees.

Futuristic United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space

Joint Crisis Committee –
Executive Body of the USSR vs the National Security Council of the USA

 The Press Corps

 

The event ended on a positive note with the address by the Principal, followed by the distribution of certificates. Seth Anandram Jaipuria, Kanpur ended up bagging the best delegation trophy. The event saw executive members participating from top notch colleges in the country. The three day extravaganza carved and proposed life changing actions and ideas for a better tomorrow.
