Robotics workshop for teachers

Robotics workshop for teachers

Teachers of Robotics and artificial intelligence attended a three-day session on campus. Robotics and AI principles were introduced by Mr. Neeraj of Stempedia through practical exercises. 'Pictoblox', a platform for block-based programming, was introduced to the trainees on the first day. They mastered the download, addition, and use of extensions as well as the addition of sprites and variables. Basic conditional statements and block-based programming were introduced to the trainees. Day 2: The trainees learnt about Quarky Kits and Robotics, as well as how to use these kits to carry out projects. They learned about quarky boards, UV, IR, and servo motors, which they used to create projects for object detection, obstacle avoidance, and line following cars. On day three, the extension of recognition cards was used to implement the notion of self-driving cars. Finally, the concept and operation of gripper robots, which are utilised in large warehouses, were explained to them.
The school's robotics AI and IT team commended Principal Shailja Tandon for planning such a beneficial training and Mr. Neeraj for leading it, which allowed teachers to expand their knowledge of robotics, an emerging field in the field of technology, and engage in hands-on practice.
