The Millennium School, Kurukshetra celebrated National Unity Day and Diwali (the festival of lights) with great enthusiasm. Students of grade VII showed their efforts to make the event a success. Speech on National Unity Day was delivered by Arohi followed by a poem spreading message of Unity in Diversity recited by Cheshta. Video was shown to highlight the life and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the political integration of India. Grade VII students performed a skit to show Unity in Diversity.
A special dance performance on Deepawali was given by Prisha Bansal of grade IX. The shlokas from Ram Charitra Manas were delivered by DevLalit of grade V to celebrate the eve of Diwali.
The function ended with the motivational words of Principal Sir. He explained why Sardar Patel is known as ‘Sardar’ and ‘Iron Man’ (LohPurush). He encouraged the students to follow the teachings of the great leader in their life, too.
