TMS,KKR Celebrates Earth Day

“The environment is where we all meet; where all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share.” Today, Earth Day was celebrated in The Millennium School, Kurukshetra with great dedication and fervour. A special assembly was conducted by Ready to Fly (KG) – A, wherein the importance of the Earth Day was discussed and the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve the planet Earth. A sapling plantation programme was also organized on this occasion. All the learners of the Little Millennium planted saplings in school garden. The students of class XII also brought saplings from home and planted them in the playground.
The students of classes I and II did an activity ‘Nature Walk and Colouring’. They visited the garden of the school to see the plants and trees grown in the campus. Besides this, they filled colours in the trees on the drawings sheets. ‘Thumb and Finger Painting’ activity was also organized for the students of class III-V. They made alluring paintings on nature using water colour on sheets.
The students of class VI made trees using the ice-cream sticks and spoons. Similarly, the students of class VII made paper bags using various types of papers. The students of classes VIII-X made colourful posters. The purpose of all the activities was to associate the students with the motherland Earth so that they could learn how it is imperative to save the ailing planet. Hence, the day was marked with awareness, enthusiasm and a lot of fun. Principal Dr. AK Singh appreciated the students for participating in such fruitful activities.
